Electrical work in Bondi

Bondi is one of the most strata-dense postcodes we work in. The vast majority of jobs we get called for here are inside apartment buildings, ranging from the 1930s walk-ups closer to the beach to the newer mid-rise developments around Bondi Junction. Each has a different switchboard layout, a different cable run, and a different set of body corporate rules.

The work we see most often falls into a few categories. The first is in-unit rewires, particularly in apartments that have just changed hands and the new owner is doing a renovation. The original aluminium or VIR cabling in some of the older blocks is well past its serviceable life, and getting it replaced cleanly without damaging shared walls is a job that needs the right experience. The second is strata common-area work: corridor lighting, basement car park sensors, intercom replacements, lift machine room circuits. We work with multiple strata managers in 2026 and we know how to coordinate a job that touches owners and tenants without it turning into a complaint thread.

The third category is holiday-rental wiring. A lot of Bondi apartments are short-let, and the cycle of high-turnover usage exposes any weakness in the electrical setup quickly. Power points get hammered, kitchens get more dishwasher and coffee-machine cycles than a normal home, and tenants will report a fault at 11pm rather than waiting for morning.
